That is what you truly achieved by inviting these many groups to celebrate the culture of their states, to share their rituals, their costumes, their music and their dance.  Engraved on my memory now are the many images of the groups coming down the hill to enter the performance circle, all so different and fascinating. How well this conveyed to us the rich history and wonderful, vivid, vibrant and diverse traditions of India.   After these challenging two years, it was inspiring to experience such joy and vibrancy and to see how your culture enriches us all and enriches the city of Milton Keynes I am so proud to live in. And the way your respectful and generous communities come together to celebrate shows that you do not only speak about unity,  but truly embody it.  You, your core team and all your volunteers worked so hard to create this wonderful Tirifecta celebration of Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee, the 75th Independence Year of India and HM The Queen awarding Milton Keynes the new and much welcome status of city.  My thanks to you and all your team.  

The India Day Milton Keynes was unique, bringing together the exhilarating diversity of India in a single event. Well planned and managed successfully, it was a milestone for Milton Keynes’ culture.

Bringing multiple cultures, traditions and people of various backgrounds together created a positive sense of building an integrated community so much needed in MK. The ID:MK Team, from the planning phases through to the delivery of the event, thought of every single detail to make all partners believe that the event would be a great success. They did not disappoint, actually they went beyond our expectation especially when this was their first ever event in the country organised by many professionals who spent tirelessly for hours, days, weeks preparing – after their working hours – for the event.
